Aspherical lenses
Holophane has supplied aspherical glass lenses since the advent of HID lighting (xenon). The company now provides glass aspherical lenses and offers a wide range of lenses in various sizes and shapes for HID, halogen and LED lamps.
Precision and mass production: the dual asset of pressed glass
Pressed glass technology allows the creation of complex shapes whilst maintaining the constant optical properties. In accordance with the desired application, Holophane uses the process best adapted to client needs. The high levels of automation, combined with regular monitoring of optical properties, allows the client to be supplied with constant quality at a controlled cost.
Products
Overmoulded lens
In order to integrate aspherical lenses to lamps with the greatest precision, Holophane has developed and patented the plastic overmoulding process around lenses. More than 3 million lenses have been delivered this year.
Smooth lens
Thanks to its totally smooth surface, this type of lens makes it possible to obtain a very sharp cut-off line.
Particularly adapted to certain elliptical units, this solution is equally suitable for fog light units, motorbikes and scooters or indeed for work lights.
Wave lens
The cut-off line is softened in the central area of the beam thanks to waves on the aspherical surface of the lens.
Microstructure lens
Based on a 3D diffusion structure, the microstructure technology softens the cut-off line in a homogeneous way and reduces chromatic aberrations.
Soft Focus Texture® lens
This Holophane trademark has a optical surface preparation process to meet an increasingly higher level of optical demand.
Based on an inspected surface finish on the aspherical dome, this technology is adapted for elliptic modules with soft and homogeneous cuts.
