Using 222 nm far UV-C light the spread of airborne viruses (such as Covid-10, flu) can be fought non-stop, without the use of any chemical products.
UVmobi has invented and now manufactures and markets disinfection systems that use UV-C light.

In order to offer to our customer, a « best-in-class » unitary traceability system on our LED lenses, Holophane has invested in 2020, in a laser engraving system which can now be used in serial production.
A unitary “Data Matrix Code” (DMC) is engraved on each leans manufactured on our serial lines. This technology allows Holophane to ensure and monitor a very precise traceability of our products at each key steps of our manufacturing process.
This feature has been implemented in collaboration with one of our tier-1 automotive customer as part of the development and engineering of LED lenses for a premium vehicle.
This unitary traceability is now available and offered by Holophane on all LED lenses but could be deployed to other product lines should our customers decide to extend it to other applications.
In its June 24, 2020 issue, the newspaper China Daily published an interview with Fabien AZZI, Director of the Holophane Factory in Dalian, in Liaoning Province.
Fabien Azzi has maintained steady production at his company despite the coronavirus epidemic in China, supported by the efforts of employees and the local government in Dalian.
Thanks to the opening of a subsidiary in Michigan last year, and relocation nearby of warehousing operations, sales went up by 6% for the first year, and additional + 20% is expected for 2018.
On the 26th of August in 2017 in Dalian (China), a cleaning operation led by the city’s trade union has been organized.
About fifty volunteers coming from various sectors answered the call, such as students, members of the government, employees and head of companies, among which Mr Fabien AZZI, General Manager of HOLOPHANE Dalian, who participated for the second time.
The operation consisted in picking up all the trashes found along the roads of the black mountain of Dalian.
Since it settle in the city, Holophane Dalian has always devoted itself in ecological actions in favor of China’s environment and this event permitted to prove its involvement.
By this way, Mr AZZI wishes to share HOLOPHANE’s values such as a continuous improvement, human respect and environment protection.
Dalian is strongly attractive in terms of economic activity and is trying to be ever more. This city is strengthening its management and improving its quality and its efficiency. Besides it, a new free trade zone has been implemented increasing its international influence, modernity and innovation.

On march 16th, Holophane had the pleasure to Welcome Mr Marc LAMY, the general Consul of France for Northern China, to its plant located in Dalian, Liaoning province.
The French consulate gives a great support for French companies located in China, especially by facilitating relationship with the Chinese authorities.
Led through the plant by Mr Fabien AZZI, the general manager of Holophane China, he could discover – among others – the latest evolution of fully automated production lines, jointly developed with Holophane headquarter in France.
A growing company in a fast moving city
Holophane, world leader in glass components for automotive lighting, made the strategic choice to establish a Chinese subsidiary in Dalian city by 2002.
This northern city was offering both a dynamic process zone, and also a major international harbor. It is now the most dynamic city of the Liaoning province, and today, Holophane is the second biggest French company in Dalian.
Thanks to this location, Holophane can realize more than 40% of its global turnover in Asia: not only with China, but also with Japan, S-Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia & India.
Since 2002, Holophane Dalian plant expanded from 1200 sqm to 8000 sqm, its headcount now being almost 270 people, and its output went from 1 million lenses in 2002, up to 10 million today.
A winning strategy
The French Consul Mr Lamy has been very impressed by Holophane in China, and made an enthusiastic comment on WeChat, qualifying Holophane as “ a great example of medium size French company succeeding in Asia”.
For the first three months since its introduction end of October 2016, the new Nissan Note has been leading the sales in Japan.
Holophane is proud to have both of its two main product lines featured on this best-selling model.
The LED headlamps are using a glass aspheric lens coming from Holophane Chinese plant in Dalian, and the fog modules are applying a glass cover lens produced at Holophane historical plant in France.
This new generation of wide and rectangular fog modules, will also shape the front faces of other new Nissan models like Kicks, Rogue, Micra or Qashqai.
For this specific application, Holophane glass cover is of course tempered to improve its mechanical and thermal robustness, but it also applies a special inline sulphur dioxide treatment, to enhance its resistance against ageing.
